How do I play it safe when in email contact?
One of the great advantages of partner search with PARSHIP is the guaranteed anonymity. Don't be too quick to give this up. Excessive mistrust is not appropriate, but it can be unpleasant to get an unexpected call from somebody to whom you hadn't yet wanted to give your number. Take some precautions:
- Be discreet with your personal data until you know each other better. You can be located by means of your full name or, say, via the combination of your exact place of residence and an unusual profession.
- Use the PARSHIP postbox for your contacts. Keep your email address to yourself.
- If at any point you want to avoid making the 'detour' via PARSHIP, switch to an anonymous address with one of the large email providers (Hotmail, Gmail etc).
- Ensure that your name is not communicated in this context.
